Our city recently released the fourth batch of municipal-level industrial design centers, with eight institutions selected.
As a platform for promoting industrial design and innovation within businesses, industrial design centers recognize institutions with strong industrial design innovation capabilities, distinctive characteristics, standardized management, outstanding performance, and leading design standards.
These selected institutions exemplify our city's commitment to high-quality development in industrial design, focusing on the development of 17 advantageous industrial chains across five advanced manufacturing clusters. Among them, the Namei Technology Industrial Design Center has built an advanced team encompassing materials development, product R&D, engineering design, supply chain management, testing and verification, and engineering manufacturing. Its comprehensive power battery R&D system lays a solid foundation for the rapid implementation and capacity expansion of sodium-ion battery projects. The Chenhan Equipment Industrial Design Center pioneered the development of mechanized sugarcane harvesting in China. Its core product, the sugarcane harvester, has won the First Prize of the China Agricultural Machinery Science and Technology Award, the China Agricultural Machinery Industry Annual Gold Award, the Silver Award at the China Good Design National Competition, and the Silver Award at the Second National Machinery Industrial Design Competition.
With these newly selected institutions, our city now has 52 municipal-level industrial design centers. The city will continue to cultivate and enhance industrial design centers, encourage and guide more businesses to prioritize their development, and accelerate the development of a "design city."
